Spring Training Update

One time through the rotation and all of the Red Sox starters have pitched well in their debuts (with exception of Tim Wakefield, who pitched alright).

Schilling: 2 IP, 0 ER
Beckett: 2 IP, 5 K, 0 ER
Matsuzaka: 2 IP, 1 H, 3 K, 0 ER
Papelbon: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 4 K
Wakefield: 2 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 2 K

Matsuzaka was brilliant as 19 of his 24 pitches went for strikes as he threw some nasty looking stuff at Boston College batters.

The bad news includes the fact that Pineiro was rocked for 4 ER on Saturday, and Manny Delcarmen was tagged for 3 ER later in the same game. Not a good sign for the bullpen, but its only spring training.
